Tonight, when I searched for the name Palito in Google, I can’t believe my eyes. The once comedian who was very effective in making Filipinos laugh, has passed away.
That made me a bit sad. I don’t know this man personally, but from the stories I have been hearing on papers, online and TV, he has struggled financially, years before he died.
But what made me proud of him is that he has this positive attitude. He never gave up on the idea that there is still hope after years of non-activity in showbusiness. He still worked using his skills in playing drums and is thankful of all the blessings that came his way.
He left a lot in Filipinos heart. A lot of good memories, laughter he shared in portraying his different roles and setting as a good example of a person who is grateful for all his blessings.
I hope that a lot of bloggers and non-bloggers alike will say a little prayer for Palito tonight and wish for a peaceful life ahead in heaven. I also hope that he will always be remembered. As for his family, I hope that Palito’s closest friends extend their helping hand and show some love and support as they surely need this in this time of their loss.
